We are exposed to toxins daily without even trying, such as pollution in the air and chemicals in our food, our body care products and everyday household cleaners. These toxins can build up in our body and cause disease over time.
So what can we do to better ensure health for ourselves and our families? We began to read and learn more about the ingredients listed on the products we were purchasing. It was daunting to begin, but over time we became familiar with them, then turned to brands we trusted. It is up to us to become educated and more aware of our options — and there are a lot of options. There are many great companies out there making wonderful products that are safe for people and for the environment.
We always say, once we know
better, we can do better! Our choices give us a lot of power in staying healthy. We seek out “real” whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, meat from animals raised and treated properly, and other items that come from a farm. We try to avoid foods that have been processed, such as most packaged and canned foods. Many of these items are full of preservatives (aka chemicals) that can invade our healthy bodies as toxins. We also recommend doing a regular cleanse. There are many types of cleanses out there, and we encourage you to seek the advice of your physician, or another nutrition expert before doing one.
Be mindful of what goes in and on your
body, and give yourself the love that you
so deserve! It’s never too late to start,
and every little bit helps.

For many years now, we have more aware of toxins in our environment, and in some of the foods that are considered “safe” in our grocery stores. We have learned the importance of reading labels and paying attention to what we put in and on our bodies.
